Midlands Counties German Shepards Association

Midland Counties German Shepherd Dog Association Derby

The Midland Counties German Shepherd Dog Association was formed in 1948 and since that time we have been providing support to our members by way of Obedience, Agility and (for those who wish) Working Trials training.

We meet every Sunday at the Elvaston Village Hall at 3pm for Obedience training. If we have something special, such as The Kennel Club Good Citizens Award training we meet earlier at 2pm.

Our members can be seen on the green adjacent to the “Golden Gates” being put through their paces by our Instructors. All of our Instructors have owned or currently own German Shepherd Dogs themselves and each has a wealth of Knowledge and experience to share.

In addition to formal training we meet on the first Saturday of the month for a Social Walk where members and their dogs socialise whilst walking around the park and its environs.

From our weekly training fees a third is donated to the German Shepherd Rescue organisation at Kings Corner.
